Okay, let’s face it, dog training is not as easy as most people say it is.

A great example is how a lot of dog owners have a dog that they have had for a few years and bring a new dog in the home. They expect the new dog to pick up habits from the senior dog and more often than not, the senior dog starts to pick up bad behavior.

Take the training in baby steps. Separate the dogs and reward them for good behavior when training. Then as they get better, bring them together and train them together. Remember, continue to reenforce good behavior.

As they both progress, keep going. Always continue to train them on new tricks. Add on and try new things. Learning is good and they can learn their whole lives.
